Maadi-Griffin .50 BMG pistol
Origin: USA
Date: c.2000
Caliber: .50 BMG
In the late 90’s and early 2000’s, Arizonan gunmaker Robert Stewart sold .50 BMG rifle kits that could be converted into a single-shot pistol. In 2000, Robert’s business, Maadi-Griffin, was shut down by the ATF, rendering these pistols incredibly rare. Not much is known about them, with few photos and only one known video of the weapon firing. It was, of course, a completely impractical and dangerous design, most likely made purely as a novelty more than anything.
